Consultant productivity

WeekLedger

WeekLedger is a browser-local timesheet for consultants who want to record weekly work, organise clients and projects, reconcile billable time and export portable reports without accounts, analytics or server-side record storage. It is a release candidate with local-browser storage and user-managed backups.

Local-first time tracking

Keep the working record close to the person doing the work.

WeekLedger provides a Monday-to-Sunday weekly calendar for recording time in half-hour increments, organising clients and projects, and reviewing billable and non-billable work. Weekly reconciliation turns recorded intervals into a practical summary for the next report or timesheet.

Privacy boundary

Your time records stay in your browser.

Records are persisted in browser IndexedDB without accounts, analytics or application-level remote API calls. The application does not provide server-side backups or synchronisation, so users should export JSON backups regularly and treat browser storage as recoverable working data rather than a guaranteed archive.

Current candidate scope

A practical weekly ledger for independent work.

These capabilities are documented in the current WeekLedger release candidate. They describe the application scope, not an independent acceptance test of every browser or deployment environment.

Release posture

WeekLedger is a deployed browser-only release candidate.

The current v0.2.0-rc.1 build is available at the production application URL, but it is intentionally not a hosted or collaborative timesheet service. Clearing browser data, changing devices or storage eviction can remove records, and multiple tabs are detected but not synchronised.

What is included

The release candidate includes local persistence, a service-worker shell, keyboard-accessible calendar controls, responsive layouts, CSV reporting and JSON backup/import workflows.

What is not claimed

Accounts, cross-device synchronisation, server-side backups, collaboration, ICS import, telemetry and a framework rewrite remain outside the release-candidate scope.
